Our Cambridgeshire storage facility is based just a short distance from Addenbrookes hospital Cambridge. The site has a security barrier and cctv on entry to monitor access. Image sensor cctv is installed all around the site for complete security. The building itself has a modern regularly maintained alarm system. Delivery Vans Delivery Vans Delivery Vans Delivery Vans Reasons for Storing There are various reasons for storage requirements and here are some examples. * Decluttering prior to selling Removing items of furniture and non essential belongings from in and around the property often gives the appearance of space which can make the house more saleable. * Period between sale and purchase. Occasionally there is a requirement for storage when access to the new property does not coincide with the sale of the old. This can sometimes be a short term need to avoid the loss of a sale. * Renting a property. Renting a house has become more popular for a number of reasons including temporary work commitments abroad, property inheritance and house sharing etc. Storage costs are comparatively low set against the rental income and therefore is a good financial option to consider. * Building work. When undertaking alterations or extending a property it is sometimes advisable to remove items that could be affected by the work whilst in progress or to create room for the work to be carried out. * Over winter storage. Valuable garden furniture and barbecues etc. can deteriorate over the winter period, but they can be stored with us to prolong their life. How it Works We operate a containerised warehouse which is the safest most secure method of storing household furniture and effects. A heavy duty fork-lift is used to load the containers on and off the vehicles and to stack them in the warehouse. Collection We can collect the goods from your property in our purpose built container vehicles. All articles are wrapped individually for their protection. The charge for this service would be assessed by our surveyor prior to collection. Self Storage We also welcome customers wishing to bring their goods to our warehouse. Containers are then made available for you. There is no handling charge for this service. Redelivery When your goods need to be returned they can be collected from us, again there is no handling charge for this. Alternatively we can put the containers on one of our vehicles and deliver to you. There would be a charge for this. Container Sizes The containers are strong wooden constructed units specially designed for the industry. The approximate measurements are as follows: 7ft high x 7ft deep x 5ft wide. 250cu.ft. or 7cu.mts Duration of Storage There are no limits for the period of storage required. Sometimes one or two days are all that is needed to overcome a particular situation but we also welcome long term storage. Storage Exceptions For safety and insurance reasons there are a few items which can not be stored, these are inflammables such as petrol/gas/white spirit etc.- Volatile liquids. Such as Chemicals/poisons/acid etc.- Vehicle batteries.-Fire arms/ammunition and explosives- Perishable goods such as food, including animal feed.- Plants and livestock. | |||||||||||||||||||
